This piece was exhibited in Alloa at the celebration of glass art, Art'n'Action, in October 2008. This 97cm x 63cm glass panel demonstrates a variety of techniques including Glass applique, kiln fused glass, traditional leaded stained glass and glass painting. "Look Aboot Ye" was inspired by the Artists childhood memories of the Peacocks that, in the past, roamed freely in Alloa's Greenfield Park.
"Look Aboot Ye" - Colloquial Scottish meaning "Look around you" or ,in Latin, "Circumspice" is the motto of Scotlands Wee County, Clackmannanshire.
"Look Aboot ye" was so well received that Clackmannanshire council purchased the piece to add to their growing collection of public artworks.
This etched and fused tile depicts "The Bard", Robert Burns. 2009 will see the 250th anniversary of his birth
